These polarity guidelines apply to 12-fiber and 8-fiber MTP\/MPO links, suitable for most applications.           1. All MTP\/MPO<\/strong> trunk cables and patch cords must use Polarity B.\u2028<\/p>

          • All MTP\/MPO trunk cables must be female\u2013female.\u2028<\/li>
          • All MTP\/MPO patch cords must be male\u2013female.\u2028 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u2014 MTP PRO male\u2013female patch cords are recommended.\u2028<\/li>
          • All MTP\/MPO through adapters in cassettes must be Key-Up to Key-Down.<\/li><\/ul>

            2. When converting an MTP\/MPO<\/strong> link to a duplex environment, use Type U universal polarity cassettes on both ends.\u2028<\/p>

            • The wiring scheme for Type U cassettes is shown in the diagram.\u2028<\/li>
            • Cassette MTP\/MPO ports must be male.\u2028<\/li>
